The Instructional Design (ID) Clinic is a resource for faculty who have been approved by IU Online to work with eLearning Design & Services (eDS) in UITS Learning Technologies to design an online course. Through the ID clinic, eligible faculty can set up appointments with an instructional designer to brainstorm ideas, learn best practices, or explore new technologies for their online class.
ID Clinic support includes:
- Designing student activities that meet your course goals
- Helping you improve course accessibility to meet the needs of all learners
- Refreshing a course you designed a few years ago
- Brainstorming sticky instructional problems
All appointments are virtual. No need to come to campus, our consultations are offered virtually across all IU campuses.
If you are looking for instructional design support but haven’t been approved by IU Online to work with eDS to design a course, the university still has support options for you:
- For projects with funding for instructional design support, please complete the eDS Instructional Design Development Request form.
- You can connect with your campus’s teaching and learning center to work with their experts on course design and pedagogy.
- You also have access to IU’s Academic Media Production Spaces (AMPS) to help you with your media needs.
- The UITS Support Center provides IT support to all IU campuses. They are staffed 24/7 and can help with learning technology supported by IU.
The ID Clinic is a service of IU Online and UITS eLearning Design & Services.
