New Features: Bulk Enrollment and Updated Analytics
Bulk Enrollment
The ability for an IU Expand account holder to reserve multiple course seats (bulk enrollment) in one check out process, or paid transaction, is now an available feature!
For some time, university and catalog administrators have been able to use the IU Expand provisioning app to process one mass action enrollment in an IU Expand listing or Canvas course. But now, IU Expand has put the power of bulk enrollment in the hands of the learner.
This is especially beneficial in situations where a purchasing representative may want to use organizational funds to secure seats in an IU Expand listing for their staff member(s). This new feature allows a purchaser to secure seats (up to an enrollment cap) in one check out process. If payment is required, the purchaser is directed to the platform's paywall (PayPal) to secure the transaction. Once seats are finalized, the purchaser can view and assign them by entering an individual's email address in the Purchases and Enrollments area of IU Expand. The invitee will receive an email notification to claim their seat and may follow a link to enter their IU login or Guest Account credentials and finalize their enrollment.
NOTE: Bulk Enrollment is not automatically available on all listings. It must be activated by the IU Expand Team. If you would like to allow users to bulk enroll for your full catalog or for specific listings, please contact iuexpand@iu.edu with your Catalog Name, Listing Title, and request to enable Bulk Enrollment.
Updated Analytics
When you next log into IU Expand as an administrator, you will notice a banner that reads, "Important Notice: New Analytics has launched, and because of this Reports and Analytics will be removed after June 30, 2023. If you have automations set up in the old versions, please adjust to the new version by June 30th to ensure a seamless experience."
Check out the Analytics (new) tab on your administrator dashboard to see the enhanced platform Analytics interface, which allows for more robust at-a-glance data as well as customized reporting using built-in filter options. Administrators can toggle between the Listings, Enrollments, Orders, and Users tabs within the Analytics interface to search and return data specific to catalog and listing information and enrollments. Reports can be exported to a CSV file.
More information about the new platform Analytics interface can be found on the Instructure Community page.
In addition, IU Expand is interested in your feedback on the new analytics dashboard. Please send your opinions on the new layout to iuexpand@iu.edu so we may compile it and send it to our customer support team at Instructure. Thank you in advance for your help!
