Review: MSA and Statement of Work
If you already have an established Catalog in IU Expand, this indicates that you have a Master Services Agreement (MSA) on file with the Office of Online Education. In rare cases, catalogs created close to the IU Expand platform's inception may still need to complete an electronic MSA. If this happens, the IU Expand team will reach out to your department representative with further instructions.
As a review, the MSA is signed by the department representative and the Director of the Office of Online Education. This agreement outlines the responsibilities of both parties, duties of the department's IU Expand administrator, and expectations regarding quality standards and compliance guidelines, and it provides specific details for the first course to be listed in the catalog.
The Statement of Work (SOW) form is used when an existing IU Expand catalog user intends to add a new course to their catalog. Each IU Expand course listing must have an SOW form on file. This form also captures critical accounting details for any courses that utilize paid enrollments.
