In 2022, IU Online's programs again achieved high marks in the U.S. News & World Report rankings of best online programs, placing at No. 29 among all online providers of bachelor's degrees. These rankings are "a testament to the breadth of expertise in the online experience across disciplines," says Chris Foley, director of the Office of Online Education.
The BS in Psychology developed by faculty at IU East was ranked No. 8 in the nation. The Chancellor's BS in Business Administration, ranked at No. 17, represents the collaborative expertise of the regional campus faculty who deliver the program.
The Kelley School of Business ranked No. 1 for its MBA, Master of Science programs, and specialties in general management and finance. Specialties in business analytics and marketing were ranked No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
The IU School of Education's Instructional Systems Technology (IST) program ranked #1. Other master's programs in the school ranked in the top 2 of their specialties. The master's programs in special education and educational administration and supervision both tied for No. 5 in their areas, and curriculum and instruction was ranked No. 12. Overall, the School of Education rose 14 points and ranked No. 28 among online master's in education programs.
The School of Nursing jumped 23 spots and ranked No. 9 in the nation for nursing education. It ranked No. 17 in nursing administration. The school's overall ranking jumped 23 places to tie for No. 26.
In addition, IU Online programs were recognized for their accessibility, affordability, and reputation among veterans.
