When you’re teaching online, your students may have concerns or needs that you must be sensitive to. Remember, the students taking your class might not be from your campus—or even live in the vicinity.
As such, they might ask you questions that an on-campus student wouldn't. Be ready to have answers to issues from the following categories:
- Tutorial services (e.g., “How do I get help with my math class without coming to campus?”)
- Student services (e.g., “How do I pay my bursar bill?”)
- Obtaining adaptive educational services (e.g., “I need to have the materials for the class close-captioned. Where do I go to have that happen?”)
